Loki is full of detail and only a skilled eye can tell what happens in each episode. The Marvel series for the Disney Plus platform had a very funny scene of Loki singing on a train from the planet Lamentis-1. The topic was not in English, so the community turned to the character’s past in the MCU to understand what was happening.
The scene in question corresponds to the third episode of Loki. Thor’s brother and Sylvie agreed to a luxury train in Lamentis-1, where the apocalypse will happen in a matter of hours. Before being discovered by the guards, Loki began to sing with all the passengers on the train in a language that only a few could decipher.
The song is called “Jeg Saler Min Ganger” and it was written by author Erlend O. Nødtvedt and musician Benedicte Maurseth. It consists of four verses, but only one was sung in the most recent episode of Loki. The language in question is Asgardian, which is based on Norwegian.
LOKI | Scene from episode 3
“In the storm-blackened mountains I wander alone / Through the glaciers I travel / In the apple orchard stands the beautiful maiden / And sings: ‘When will you come home?’ / (chorus in English) When he sings, he sings ‘Come home’ ”, the song of the scene on the train reads.
The song seems happy, but it has a deep meaning for Loki. The Mountains Blackened by the Storm is a reference to Ragnarok, the apocalypse of Asgard, and the beautiful maiden alludes to Frigga, Loki’s mother.
The fourth episode of Loki will be available on Disney Plus on Wednesday, June 30.
