There was a surprise news recently about the delay of the next films of Marvel Studios, jumping all of them one slot ahead of the schedule planned so far, resulting in only three theatrical releases in 2022 instead of the four planned. Now, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, has justified this decision by claiming that it is only about production changes.

Thus, during the premiere of the film Eternals in Los Angeles, Kevin Feige has responded to the questions of such an unexpected movement in the Marvel Studios release schedule, dates that have remained stable for months despite the global pandemic of the coronavirus. In this sense, Feige has justified the decision only by production reasons.

“They are displacements and production changes, and because we have so many holes, we can just switch holes. All Marvel spaces are the same, we are only changing when they premiere. And yes, Strange has moved six weeks, so instead of having three months between the Marvel movies, there will be five months between them, and I think all we can manage that”, Assures the manager.

And it is that not only has the Marvel Studios calendar been affected, but all the forecast Disney’s upcoming releases have changed the dates of their films from 2022. Here is the new release schedule with the new Marvel and Disney dates:

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness | May 6, 2022 (before March 25, 2022)
