Marvel’s Midnight Suns will not be released in early 2022, as originally planned, but instead is delayed until the second half of next year. Take-Two Interactive has confirmed during the presentation of the financial results corresponding to the second quarter of this fiscal year (Q2 / FY2022) this change of plans in the development of the new Firaxis Games, authors of XCOM, as a consequence of a recognized lack time to complete it. In parallel, the study has broken down this date change in an official statement.

Firaxis Games needs more time: Marvel’s Midnight Suns will arrive between July and December 2022

Like countless titles that have experienced delays throughout 2021, Firaxis Games is no stranger to the vicissitudes compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic. Target timelines have been disrupted and, broadly speaking, the margins for achieving these development goals have been pushed back. The study acknowledges that it takes more time to offer gamers the best possible video game. In addition, they want to be true to their creative vision and not compromise on quality standards estimated by themselves at the cost of going to market early.
