According to reliable sources from the Daily Mail, through ET Canada, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who left the Royal family in 2020, may make another appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebration. The festival will take place throughout the weekend of June 2 to 5.

Since her coronation in 1953, Queen Elizabeth II has spent 70 years on the throne. Many believe that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also appear on the Balcony and take part in other events, such as a St. Paul’s Cathedral ceremony.

They will host multiple events around the country during the four-day celebration, from June 2 to June 5. In reality, 758 public events and 1,043 block parties or private functions have been posted thus far on the authorized Platinum Jubilee website.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, but they will not have an official role in the festivities.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had the option of flying to London from their California residence for the Queen’s 70th birthday on the first weekend in June.

They are invited to participate in family occasions such as Trooping the Colour, a military parade observed from the palace balcony by the royal family, and a Thanksgiving ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral.

However, the royal pair would be excluded from several occasions since they are not yet working royal family members, according to the magazine.

The Sussexes have yet to say whether or not they will accept the invitation. Following Harry’s absence at Prince Philip’s funeral ceremony in April, there was curiosity about whether they’d return to the UK.

In September, Harry filed a legal challenge to a policy decision that banned him from paying for his police surveillance while in the UK.

“While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex fund a personal security team for their children, that security cannot replace the essential police protection required in the United Kingdom.” Prince Harry and his family are still unable to return to their residence without such security.

Meghan hadn’t visited Europe since March 2020, when she and Prince Harry completed their final series of official engagements. In April 2021, Prince Harry will travel to the United Kingdom for the burial of his grandpa, Prince Philip.

However, the pair did pay a special visit to Queen Elizabeth before the latest visit to the Netherlands for The Invictus Games. Markle’s encounter with the Queen was her first in-person since the duke and duchess’ sensational appearance with Oprah Winfrey.

In April 2021, Prince Harry was last publicly seen with the Queen during Prince Philip’s funeral.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s representatives and Buckingham Palace didn’t initially answer.

The Queen Will Skip Easter Services

Every year, the Queen visits the Maundy Service and distributes coins to community members who have given back to the community. The figure represents each year the Queen has lived: there would’ve been 96 men and 96 women this year.

However, due to mobility issues, she could not go on Thursday for the first time since 1970. Everyone anticipated seeing her because the service was held right outside her door at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel.

She didn’t cancel at the last minute since she had given the organizers many days’ notice. We understand the Queen will be unable to attend the Easter Service on Sunday.

As he frequently does these days, Prince Charles stood in for his mother during the Maundy Service, and it was touching to watch him hand out so many coins to signify the monarch’s senior age.

The Queen’s 96th anniversary is next Thursday, and while there will be a 41-gun royal tribute in Hyde Park, the main celebrations will take place in June.

On the other hand, the palace is careful to stress that the Queen is still fit enough to do official business. She conducts video conferences from her residence and reads the official paperwork her government sends her every day in that familiar red box.

The format of this jubilee is unique. The Queen’s birthday procession appears to be the sole chance for a balcony appearance, where the Queen’s extended family customarily gathers to witness the fly-past. It’s also possible that this will be her last prominent family balcony appearance during her reign.

It’s probable that it’ll be the last time people see the Queen in person throughout the jubilee, given she has mobility concerns, with younger royals perhaps stepping in for her on other occasions. Trooping is logistically challenging.

She has come by carriage in the past and observed the troops from the dais. She may stay in her carriage the entire time to keep herself comfortable.

However, her involvement will probably be limited to just viewing the parade from Buckingham Palace as it returns from Horse Guards Parade in preparation for the fly-past. And while she would like to attend the thanksgiving ceremony at St Paul’s, there are numerous obstacles to overcome.
