Italian Actress Monica Bellucci Negotiates for “Beetlejuice 2” Role

The much-awaited sequel of Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice” has been in the works for years, and now, it has been announced that Monica Bellucci is in negotiations to be a part of the film. Slated for release in 2024, the movie will see Bellucci taking on the role of the wife of the eccentric ghost, played by Michael Keaton.

Returning Cast

In addition to Bellucci and Keaton, the film’s cast will also include Winona Ryder, who plays the gothic teenager, Lydia Deetz. Hispanic actress Jenna Ortega, best known for her portrayal of Wednesday in the Netflix series of the same name, and American actor Justin Theroux, are set to join the cast.

Burton’s Partner

Bellucci, who recently starred in the series “Mafia Mamma”, is currently Burton’s partner. The director will also serve as one of the film’s producers, along with Plan B, Brad Pitt’s company. The script will be written by Al Gough and Miles Millar, creators of the series “Wednesday”, also directed by Burton.
