Netflix surprises the community with the introduction of the first video games on the platform. The company adds a selection of titles inspired by some of its licenses at no additional cost. So far it can only be accessed through the mobile application on Android systems; It has not transpired when it will do so on iOS.

The keys to video games on Netflix

From the production company they emphasize that the development of this functionality is in an early phase, so we can expect “many more titles” in the coming weeks. Playing from the platform with your subscription will allow you to enjoy them “without ads and without payments within the application”.

It works in a simple way. From this moment you will see a tab called “Games” in the lower interaction bar. By pressing you will see the titles available in this first batch. Once you click on one, you will be automatically redirected to the Google Play Store, where you can install them. After completing it, return to your profile on Netflix and you are ready to play.

Then we leave you with the first games:

  • Stranger Things: 1984
  • Stranger Things 3
  • Teeter Up
  • Shooting Hoops
  • Card Blast

As we said, these five games are included in the current Netflix subscription, so you don’t need to activate a new membership or update your existing one. In the tweet that accompanies these paragraphs you can see how the screens look from the application.

The news coincides just a few days after TUDUM, the great event of their productions. In it we could see the new trailer for the fourth season of Stranger Things, the date of the League of Legends series, the spectacular introduction to Vikings: Valhalla fans and the live action opening of Cowboy Bebop, among others.
