Netflix unveiled the new trailer for the Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf

The universe of The Witcher it is expanding. A year and a half after the arrival of the live action series, starring Henry Cavill What Geralt de Rivia, Netflix prepares to release in a few days the anime film that serves as a prequel to the show and tells the story of Geralt’s mentor: Vesemir. The streaming giant released a new trailer for Nightmare of the Wolf that reveals how sorcerers are created.

From a young age, these characters are exposed to a strange concoction that transforms them into something different. Something powerful. A sorcerer destined to hunt monsters that the rest of humanity does not understand. Not all children are excited about such a destination, but Vesemir seems happy because never again “will be afraid”.

The mythology of The Witcher will expand to new horizons with this post that recounts the origins of the quintessential mentor and how he began his path in this very particular life.

Beau DeMayo wrote the script for the tape while the direction is in charge of Kwan Il Han. The protagonists of the animated film are Theo James as Vesemir, Lara Pulver as Tetra, Graham McTavish as Deglan, and Mary McDonnell as Lady Zerbst. Nightmare of the Wolf will premiere in Netflix next August 23.
