Call of Duty will have a new delivery on mobile devices coming soon. Activision Blizzard has announced, on the occasion of the presentation of financial results corresponding to the last quarter (Q1 / FY2021) that they have formed a new internal study to work on a video game for smartphones based on their IP of quintessential shots.
After the leak last June, this time through job offers, the announcement is now formalized with some details from the president of the company, Rob Kostich.

Beenox and Activision Shanghai are working on the game; new internal study
“When we think long-term, where we see the most compelling growth is on the mobile platform,” he begins by saying. And for this they will turn to their flagship, Call of Duty. “We believe that there’s an opportunity to better connect mobile with the overall Call of Duty ecosystem and we are energetically hiring talent to help us on this journey ”, continues the president, confirming the formation of a new internal studio to undertake this objective. “We have created our own internal mobile studio and we are promoting a large recruitment effort, through Beenox Y Activision Shanghai, to support us as well ”.
Hopefully we will have more details on this soon; from name to approximate release date. Beenox, based in Canada, are responsible for Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled or the computer versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, among many others. They have been subsidiaries of Activision since 2005.
Call of Duty: Mobile, a success with more than 1,000 million dollars invoiced
Call of Duty: Mobile (developed by TiMi Studios, of Tencent), has been a success with more than 500 million downloads and more than 1,000 million dollars invoiced until last May; figures available to very few and in a very short time, since it was originally released in October 2019.
With these credentials and the guarantee that there is a target audience interested in playing the Call of Duty saga with its classic mechanics on a mobile phone, Activision will not hesitate to put efforts into making this project a success. In the job offer last June it was made clear that the scale of this new video game is one AAA.
Call of Duty: Mobile is available in format free-to-play (free download with a business model based on in-app purchases) on iOS and Android devices.
