Quito, Jun 30 (EFE) .- The new period of validity for the presentation of the card with the full doses of anti-covid-19 vaccines is one of the requirements that will govern, from midnight in Ecuador, for international arrival passengers, reported the Quiport Corporation.
It is one of the aspects contemplated within the protocols established by the Emergency Operations Committee (COE), on June 10, for entry from abroad, which will come into effect from 11:59 p.m. local time today (04.59 GMT Thursday), it said in a statement.
These include the presentation of a negative result of an RT-PCR or antigen test for detection of covid-19 for a maximum of 72 hours prior to the trip, counting from the collection of the sample (children under two years of age are exempt from presenting these tests).
You can also present the vaccination card against covid-19 or its equivalent, with the full doses, as appropriate, “the same that must be valid at least 14 days before the flight,” he specified.
All travelers (over 2 years old) whose point of origin is Brazil, must present a negative RT-PCR test or negative antigen test carried out up to 72 hours before arrival in Ecuador.
Although this test is negative, upon entering Ecuador, you must perform ten days of isolation at your home or at any place of accommodation of your own free choice and at the expense of the traveler.
People who present a vaccination card or its equivalent with the full doses and valid for at least 14 days prior to the flight, will not perform isolation.
Children under 2 years of age are exempt from presenting these documents.
On the other hand, Quiport recalled that the National COE also resolved to approve guidelines for entry into Galapagos, which will come into effect from this midnight and that everyone must comply with, regardless of their immigration category.

In the case of foreign tourists, “they may enter as long as they have results from certified laboratories from their country of origin within the times established in this guideline at the time of entry to the islands,” he said.
In addition, for the entry of tourists, nationals or foreigners, the traffic control card issued by the Government Council of the Special Regime of Galapagos will be requested, eliminating the safe conduct managed by a tour operator or by an accommodation regulated by the Ministry of Tourism.
Children under two years of age are also exempt from presenting these documents.
Ecuador currently registers 458,504 cases of covid-19 confirmed by PCR, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Public Health, which accounts for a total of 21,560 deaths, between confirmed and probable due to the disease.
