New Steam Deck videos: this is what Valve’s device looks like in your hands

Steam Deck is one of the names of the summer. Valve’s new portable device is actually a computer; so much so that we can connect it to a monitor and use it as a PC. But it is also a Steam console, given that its form factor, adapted operating system and compatibility with the entire platform catalog make this machine a product of interest to many. Steam Deck will be priced between 419 euros and 679 euros

From The Verge Y Linus Tech Tips have been able to access a development unit of the machine, planned to reach the homes of the first buyers before the end of 2021, offering their sensations based on shots from different angles. We are talking about a terminal with dimensions of 298 mm x 117 mm x 49 mm and a weight of 669 grams. Games like The Witcher 3, DOOM, Hades O Control are some of the examples shown and, according to the feelings of these content creators, the result is satisfactory, although they highlight the weight of the terminal.

Inside we find a custom APU based on Zen 2 + RDNA2 of 448 GFLOPS and 1.6 TFLOPS respectively in FP32 operations; 16 GB of DRR5 RAM memory and a seven-inch screen with 1280x800p resolution, which will allow the entire current catalog, including the large AAA, to run smoothly on the Steam Deck.
