What If…?, the new animated series of Marvel Studios which will premiere in Disney+ the next August 11th, has shared numerous news through the Entertainment Weekly medium, from a new and short teaser with some unreleased scenes to a new poster focused on The Watcher, in addition to to interview a Jeffrey Wright, actor who gives voice to said character. But there is more; new images of the action figures have appeared Marvel Legends from What If …?, showing the final appearance of several characters, including the version of Spider-Man caza-zombis.
What If …?: Premiere on Disney + on August 11
So, What If …? will unfold in the eyes of The Watcher o El Vigilante, a being who observes the different realities as a narrator. And it is precisely his own Jeffrey Wright commenting on how he got hold of the character to interpret his voice in a very personal way: “It took us some time to develop the voice and establish something that we all felt good about. That took a little time, a little exploration. And then it was the process of looking at some of the images they were showing me, different ideas about what it was, different ideas about the tone of the series, because the animation is really dense, tense and cinematic, but at the same time very warm ”, says the actor.
From Entertainment Weekly they have not missed the opportunity to ask the actor about his favorite episode; is clear: “The episode of Doctor Strange, that you will see when you arrive, I loved it. For whatever reason, it has made me feel very excited. It has all the magic and it has all the colors and the emotion, but there is a moral thread and lessons to be learned within that I found really fascinating and relevant, ”Wright explains. Although the episode in which it appears also stands out T’Challa with the voice of the sadly disappeared Chadwick Boseman:
“Also, I was very excited to listen to Chadwick Boseman lending his voice to T’Challa again as it does in the series. […] So being a part of a bit of what his latest job is is really special. And I can’t wait for people to hear it, ”concludes the actor.
Along with the interview with Jeffrey Wright, they have emerged new pictures of toy series Marvel Legends based in What If…? with a fresh look at some of his characters, highlighting a Spider-Man caza-zombis with a more classic costume, without a mask and with the cape of Doctor Strange; other figures that we can see are those of him Zombie captain america, Captain Britain and the dark version of Doctor Strange.
