The Newtopia VC fund held an event last Thursday, December 2 to close 2021, a year that will be marked by news such as the inclusion of the team of Emanuel Ginobili and David Nalbandian. In it, more than 250 investors connected to listen to 17 of the startups invested by Newtopia on its 1st Demoday.
It was a virtual meeting transmitted from Purmamarca, where entrepreneurs from Brazil, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Argentina they presented their companies to investors from all over the world.
During the Demoday, 17 of the startups belonging to the first layer presented their pitches, with the aim of spreading their passion for the solutions they are developing and getting new investments that drive them to grow and scale. The event is the culmination of 10 weeks in which they worked energetically in the accompaniment and mentoring program offered by Newtopia VC together with its community of advisors.
The Demoday, in turn, was part of an incredible 3-day trip through the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Cultural and Landscape Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO, shared by 44 members of Newtopia; entrepreneurs, mentors and partners. This experience synthesizes the spirit of Newtopia, fosters peer to peer collaboration and strengthens the community bond between the founders of the startups and the General Partners of the fund.
As soon as the Demoday ended, the entrepreneurs began to receive requests for meetings from numerous Investors in the region. It is expected to accompany Startups to continue on their way of global scaling, so it is important to have the Seed investment and start Series A (first round of capital expansion).
