Pokémon Go has announced it will carry out face-to-face celebrations throughout more than 20 cities around the world as part of this year’s Pokémon Go Fest, but with limited seating and no impact on the in-game experience due to current COVID-19 concerns and restrictions. Niantic has published the list of cities that will host the events, on Saturday, July 17, 2021:
- Europe: Linz; Dresden, Essen, Hamburg, Seville, Paris, Warsaw, Bristol, Edinburgh, Liverpool and London.
- USA: San Francisco Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, New York, Nashville, Austin, Seattle y Washington.
- Asia-Pacific: Auckland
Niantic has highlighted that these events will be outdoors and that attendees must comply with the social distancing imposed in each area. Whoever wishes to attend, can register HERE. As we have indicated at the beginning of the news, the capacity of the event will be limited. Details about the exact location are specified during the registration process.
Notably Pokémon Go Fest 2021 tickets will not allow entry to these events. Niantic has pointed out that fans should not expect a great celebration: This is an opportunity to meet other fans of the video game and there will be no advantages within it.
The Pokemon Go Fest will take place from July 17 to 18 and will again be a fully digital event. If you want to know more about the event and everything there will be, we recommend you take a look at our dedicated post. Finally, we also remember that Niantic has already implemented a plan to reverse the changes introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
