Nintendo Switch has become one of the most successful platforms, but as in any commercial triumph, there are also some dark points. In the case of the Kyoto machine, Joy-Con controllers have starred in the controversy, to the point that the company has been denounced by electricity operation of the sticks. Controllers affected by this issue cause the character to automatically drift. More than five years later, the president of Nintendo America, Doug Bowser, has referred to this error in an interview with The Verge. It maintains that “continuous improvements” have been made.
“As we get to the first five and a half years of Nintendo Switch, we’ve looked at gameplay and seen how people have returned units and used them. We have made continuous general improvements to the Joy-Con, what the analog sticks include”. According to Bowser, the Nintendo Switch OLED comes with an “upgraded” analog stick, which is now also available on the two previous models of the console, the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite.
