NVIDIA has released together with the new driver Game Ready, 10 new titles with DLSS and several updates in its scaling technologies.
New version 2.3 of DLSS
With the latest update, 15 more games will be integrated to enable the use of the NVIDIA patent, among which we can find Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal among others and an update of the company’s own Image Scaling algorithm, which will work with all the games.
However, the Californian company has also published a new tool called INVENTION, which gives the possibility of performing image quality analysis and comparing the results.
Continuous improvement
NVIDIA DLSS now offers performance and image quality improvements in over 130 games. It is important to note that the DLSS 2.3 SDK has also been released.
What’s better with DLSS 2.3?
This version makes smart use of motion vectors to improve the detail of moving objects, particle reconstruction, ghosting, and temporal stability.
Games with DLSS 2.3:
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Bright Memory: Infinite
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Crysis 2 Remastered
- Crysis 3 Remastered
- Deathloop
- DOOM Eternal
- Farming Simulator 22 (Released Nov 22)
- Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition
- Grand Theft Auto 3 Definitive Edition
- Grand Theft Auto Vice City Definitive Edition
- Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Definitive Edition
- Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider
- Sword & Fairy 7
Increased spatial scale for all games
NVIDIA Image Scaling
In the NVIDIA control panel we can find the controller-based spatial scaler that enables sharpening and scaling for all games. The new version of the Game Ready Driver introduces updates to the scaling algorithm that make it more accessible through GeForce Experience.
This new algorithm uses a 6-stop filter with 4 directional scaling filters and adaptive sharpening to increase performance. This in turn sharpens and scales in a single pass.
At the same time, the NVIDIA Image Scaling algorithm has also been published as an open source SDK that works on all graphics cards of all platforms. This is available from today on GitHub so that all developers can integrate it into their games.
More games with DLSS coming in November
Among the new titles to integrate this NVIDIA technology we can find:
- Assetto Corsa Competition
- AWAY: The Survival
- Battlefield 2042
- Elder Scrolls Online
- Hot Wheels Unleashed
- Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Myth of Empires
INVENTION
NVIDIA’s new image comparison and analysis tool allows anyone to easily compare up to 4 screenshots or videos with sliders, side-by-side, and pixel zoom. Align the comparisons spatially and temporally, examine the differences, and draw your conclusions. This software can now be downloaded for free from GeForce.com.
DLSS is an artificial intelligence-based temporal super-resolution technology that is unique in increasing frame rates while maintaining image quality comparable to native resolution and is proprietary to NVIDIA.
