One Piece is one of the most popular manganimes of all time. According to its creator, Eiichiro Oda, its history is in the final phase, although there are other fronts open for the license. One of them is the live action series Netflix is working on. To date, practically no details were known about her, so the company wanted to cheer up fans for the weekend by revealing the name of the first of its episodes: Radiance Dawn.

The name is no coincidence, since it is the same as one of the first Oda stories, which had two volumes back in 1996 and was the prelude to One Piece. In the image published by Netflix on Twitter you can also read the names of Matt Owens (Luke Cage, The Defenders, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) y de Steven Maeda (Lost, CSI Miami, X Files), both writers of the series. The production company will be Tomorrow Studio, who is also working on the Cowboy Becop adaptation.
Netlix dares everything
Over the past few years, the popular video-on-demand platform has not hesitated to tackle adaptations of all kinds of big-name licenses.
