Cross-platform app programming keeps development costs low, but hybrid frameworks tend to have the disadvantages of web apps. Google’s Jetpack Compose and Apple’s SwiftUI are now trying to put the complex development of native apps on a modern footing with declarative frameworks, but with Flutter a quasi-standard for hybrid mobile development has already been established, which makes it possible to write high-performance apps for the two central mobile platforms allows.
Learn Flutter basics in two days
Over two days, the online workshop “Mobile apps with Flutter” interested developers in the basics of app programming with Flutter. The topics include setting up the tool chain as well as daily development practice, for example in the design of app user interfaces and transitions. Core areas such as network and file storage are not missing either such as the consideration of security aspects and the handling of platform-specific programming. Special features and stumbling blocks with Flutter are not excluded.
The programming language used, Dart, usually does not pose any major challenges for developers and is dealt with on the fringes of the workshop.
