Online workshops: Container, Kubernetes and Rancher

Containers promise more efficiency in the use of available resources and better control over the IT infrastructure. The iX workshop Container in professional use from November 22nd to 25th, 2021 not only teaches the technical concepts of containers (and the demarcation to virtualization), but also compares different container runtimes and shows how to install, configure and use a container environment productively.

Using practical examples, the four-day online training course covers the integration of containers into the network, the exchange of data between containers and the persistent storage of files in various scenarios. In addition, you will learn how to create backups of containers and make images centrally available in the company network. If you book your workshop ticket by October 24, 2021, you will get a 10% early bird discount.

Docker helps to use and operate your own server services and applications in a stable and easily scalable way. The online workshop Dockers and containers in practice on November 30th and December 1st, 21st is aimed at developers and administrators who (have to) deal with the topic of containerization.

Two mornings are not just about theory, but above all about understanding various example scenarios. All participants receive their own cloud instance. If you register by November 2nd, 2021, you will receive a 10% early bird discount on the ticket price.

The four-day iX-Workshop Container orchestration with Kubernetes from 11/29 Until December 2nd, 2021 trainer Michael Unke also uses examples to demonstrate various use cases for operating your own applications on a Kubernetes platform.

As a participant of this training you should have a good knowledge of Linux system administration (RHCE, SCA, LPIC1 or comparable). Previous knowledge of the administration and functionality of Docker is required. There is a 10% early bird discount if you register by October 31.

Rancher is a platform that simplifies the management of Kubernetes clusters. The two day iX-Workshop Manage containers with Kubernetes & Rancher teaches admins in many practical exercises how to set up a container environment with Kubernetes and the Rancher tools. You will learn how to install the software in a cluster, start container workloads in various ways, set up storage and network and use Helm charts.

The operation and administration of the cluster are not neglected either – from the upgrade to backup and restore. You will also learn how to create a CI / CD environment for the automated deployment of applications in the cluster and how to set up effective monitoring.

This two-day online training course from iX will take place on November 25th and 26th, 2021 in the learning and practice environment of B1 Systems. Participants should have a basic understanding of containers and be able to use the Linux command line confidently. If you book by October 28th, you will receive a 10% early bird discount.
