In the last weeks, Outlander managed to get all the stares. The story, starring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, has been a part of Netflix for a long time and, therefore, managed to expand globally. There are already five seasons that the series has both on the platform and on its original chain, Starz, and the sixth will be released soon.
Last June the production of Outlander confirmed that the filming of the next edition is over and that the new chapters will be released in early 2022. That is why, during the wait and while some members of the cast are enjoying their vacations, fans began to reveal different theories about what will come.
While many comments are based on what happens in the books of Diana Gabaldón, the original author, others are also simple ideas of the followers. But now, it has been known that one of the most hated characters in fiction, Black Jack Randall (Tobías Menzies), told a story that he was not. In fact, because of this, many wondered if he was indeed the ancestor of Frank Randall.
In the first season of Outlander, Claire Beauchamp travels to Scotland for her honeymoon with her husband, Frank (Tobías Menzies) to see the highlands. Although, on that trip, they also try to find the ancestors of Randall, who is very interested in knowing his roots and especially Black Jack since he is considered one of the architects in the conquest of Scotland in the 1700s.
However, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) is the one who knows the true story when she travels to the past. And there, he discovers that Jack is not actually Frank’s original ancestor, but rather his brother, Alexander. When she and Jamie travel to France, she discovers that Alex Randall was very sick with his lungs and that he was in love with Mary Hawkins, with whom he was expecting a child.
But, due to Alex’s health problems, it is precisely the captain of the redcoats who has to take care of his brother’s family. So much so that, in reality, Frank is not originally descended from the evil Black Jack, but is part of the family, but is heir to his brother.
