It has not been released yet and the sixth season of Outlander it is already wreaking havoc around the world. Since it was announced, on June 1, that the filming ended, the anxiety of the fans has increased every day. Even so, it should be noted that the same production confirmed that there will be no new chapters until next year.
There were six episodes that were shot for the next edition of Outlander with an extra 90 minutes. And, despite the disappointment that this generated in the followers of the story of Jamie and Claire, from Starz they knew how to conform the fans, also confirming that in 2022 they will begin filming season number seven. I mean, there’s a Fraser for a while.
However, for all the faithful of this story who reside in Latin America, the question is the same: when does it arrive on Netflix? Well, the logical thing would be that if the series finishes airing on Starz in the middle of next year, it will be shared on the streaming giant by the second half of 2022 or at the latest, in early 2023. However, now A problem has arisen and the fiction may not make it to the platform.
For what transcended now it is Amazon Prime Video who has the broadcasting rights in Latin America. What’s more, the first five seasons, which are still on Netflix, are also available on Amazon but the sixth could be exclusive to the latter. Although, all is not lost for those who do not have a user in this on demand service.
Apparently, Amazon is the one who prevails with the broadcasting rights so this format would premiere the sixth edition with one chapter per week. That is, after they are released on Starz they will arrive on the platform the following week. But, this does not mean that in 2023 the complete season will be published on Netflix, as it happened with the first.
