With Toolbox 5, Paralells publishes its collection of utility programs as a universal binary. A text recognition feature for Windows and MacOS can be found in a completely redesigned user interface. For example, editable versions can be generated from texts in images. For the time being, Parallels only offers the “Convert Text” function for MacOS. With it you can perform operations like changing the case, says Parallels.
In addition, users are provided with both a barcode generator and a reader. The functions can be used equally under both operating systems and generate and read barcodes, for example QR and UPC codes.
From version 5 onwards, Mac users can use “Focus on window” to display only the window they are currently using and hide all others. Parallels offers “Determine Color” especially for Windows. The tool is similar to the color pipette common in macOS.
Functions that Parallels offers for both operating systems work largely in the same way, according to the manufacturer. On the Corporate blog you will find detailed information on the individual tools.
