The possible plot of Peaky Blinders Season 6

The Peaky Blinders season 6 will take off from where season 5 left it. The previous season ended with the failed assassination attempt on Sir Oswal Mosely. Tommy could not execute the plan due to betrayal and took poison to kill himself.

It is still unknown who pulled the strings on the failed assignation attempt. It can be Solomons, or it can be Micheal. After all, his wife Gina was seen recommending a “Plan B”. This season may also feature Gina and her family in a prime spot.

But, in the previous season, Billy Grade had made a phone call to an unknown person to inform about the plan details from Flinn.

Peaky Blinders takes inspiration from real-life incidents, and season five displays the rise of nationalism, racism and Fascism during the 1930s before World War II. If we delve deeper into history, Sir Mosley’s association with Fascism becomes pretty clear. He married his second wife, Donann Guinness, in 1933. The controversial wedding had Adolf Hitler as an honoured guest. Even though Mosley survived, his association with Hitler may be explored this last season.

What do creators say about season 6 plot?

Steven Knight has already hinted about exploring the turmoils before WWII. As per his interview with NME, he wanted to explore the unrest in the background of the bloody gang war. He was quoted,

“[Season five] is about the rise of Fascism, nationalism and racism in the ’30s – and there are huge parallels with what’s happening in the world now. I wanted to make that a major theme of series five and the next series because we go on into the ’30s… I just want to explore the appeal of these simple ideas of nationalism that Mosley represented. That’s why we got Sam Claflin because we wanted someone appealing and attractive.

“The last time this happened, there was World War Two nine years later. It has consequences.”

He also added,

“In series six, we’ll be looking at 1934, and things are worse. The drumbeat is getting louder, tensions are worse, and Tommy is right in the middle of all that. So again, it will be an exploration of what was going on in the ’30s and how certain things transpired.”

Overall, the plot will be intriguing and may offer some nerve-wracking moments involving Tommy.
