In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players will visit Sinnoh, but they will do so in a primeval time, long before the events narrated in Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl, remakes of the Game Boy Advance classics for Nintendo Switch. The Pokémon Company has counted on ILCA to develop these new versions. How could it be otherwise, the editions have been presented during the Pokémon Presents on August 18.
As in the Pokémon Legends: Arceus trailer, the developers have explained some of the new features that will be incorporated into this version. Players will witness the myths of Sinnoh, which will serve to discover the past of the region. The studio has added new minigames, dens with species that were not in the original, collections of stickers and even an option that allows us to customize the protagonist. As if that weren’t enough, a musical minigame has been added in which we can dance. At any time, we can choose a Pokémon to accompany us
A respectful game with the original
Although the game is being developed by ILCA, Junichi Masuda acts as a supervisor in his capacity as producer. The first trailer already made it clear that the intention of The Pokémon Company is respect the history, the routes and all the elements that were already in the original, including the towns and cities. The gameplay will not be touched too much either (“they are easy to play and have very useful features for players ”, they say) Unlike the graphics, which do have a very different three-dimensional style from the products that came out more than a decade ago.
Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Shimmering Pearl will go on sale on November 11, 2021, two months before the great spin-off developed by Game Freak, the studio behind the main video games, does. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released on January 28 next year.
