Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Shining Pearl launches gameplay and a multitude of new details: character customization, Pokémon that follow us and more

During August’s new Pokémon Presents, a multitude of details have been revealed about Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Pokémon Shimmering Pearl, the Nintendo Switch remakes that will be released on November 19.

One of the confirmed novelties is that we can customize our main character on an aesthetic level, changing their clothes and visual style. In addition, we have been able to see that the Pokémon we want will be able to accompany us on our journey around the world, following in our footsteps, as has happened in other installments of the franchise.

Here’s the new trailer with gameplay shown:

We also got to see some revamped features from the original games, including the remodeling of the Underground and Secret Bases that hide new Pokémon Hideouts, where wild Pokémon roam the map freely as they did in Pokemon Let’s Go! It also appears that there will be changes to the contests, turning the event into a rhythm game, more musical.

Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shimmering Pearl were first featured earlier this year in a Pokémon Presents broadcast, where we got our first glimpse of the game’s chibi art style. Developer ILCA Inc has taken over the Game Freak remakes, and is using an art style that is intended to be a “faithful remake” of the original games.

The release date for both games is November 19, 2021While the open world game Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which has also been revealed some new details in this latest Pokémon Presents, will arrive in January.
