Pokémon has shown us that a teenage and underage child can leave home on adventures, capture wild critters and take on the best bug trainers in the world in the Pokémon League. Regardless of logistical issues such as food, clothing and places to sleep, Pokémon has been and is an inspiration for millions of young people around the world.
This ability to inspire the adventurous side of young people may have been the trigger for The Pokémon Company to decide to enhance this association with adventure and nature with a new theme park in Japan.
The Pokémon Company has officially announced Pokémon Wonder, a theme park of 14.6304 kilometers of forest in which the main attraction is to experience nature and Pokemon together. Instead of being a traditional amusement park with rides and pets, Pokémon Wonder is located in a large forest. Attendees can explore and search for handmade Pokémon with elements such as leaves and acorns.
According to the data, the park is adjacent to Yomiuriland, the largest amusement park in Tokyo. The Pokémon Company rates the park as a “adventure in naturea” and will be open for a limited time in Japan from July 17 to April 3, 2022.
It is very possible that we will soon know about Pokémon Go power-ups and special events in Pokémon Wonder, since both experiences share the same essence: The exploration.
In other Pokémon news, we remind you that the Pokemon Fest 2021 is just around the corner and that also Niantic has organized face-to-face events in 20 cities around the world. You can take a look at both events in the links that we leave linked in this paragraph.
