Pope Francis has embarked on an Apostolic Journey to Portugal, where he will participate in the XXXVII World Youth Day. The journey, which takes place from August 2nd to August 6th, will see the Pope engage with young pilgrims and deepen their spiritual encounter with Christ.
This will be the fourth time that Pope Francis presides over World Youth Day, following previous celebrations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2013), Krakow, Poland (2016), and Panama City, Panama (2019). The event was originally scheduled for 2022 but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
