After a week with a change from month to month in the middle that has brought us almost 200 new content in just 7 days, this already the first full week of September greatly reduces that number. But even so, to everything that you surely have pending from last week we must add the interesting premieres that this brings.
For example, on Netflix we have the ending for Lucifer, who in his sixth season wait to see how the world collapses without a God to fix the godless that the earth has become. And also Kate, a film that draws on the Atomic Blonde school and the new action cinema to introduce us to a Mary Elizabeth Winstead -The Jungle 4.0, The Thing, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Birds of Prey- in a ‘destroyer’ plan just like Charlize Theron in the mentioned Atomic, in a story of revenge and wild action with a strong woman as the protagonist that follows the current trend – the recent Gunpowder Milshake with Karen Gillian and Lena Headey and Jolt with Kate Beckinsale – that we wish to consolidate.
On HBO Spain one of the most brutal film adaptations of a comic: Joker, winner of the Golden Lion in Venice and the Oscar for best leading actor for Joaquin Phoenix in a performance that simply leaves you speechless.
AND Disney+ brings us American Horror Stories, a spin off of the unhealthy, macabre and visceral Ryan Murphy series that changes the usual approach of the series: instead of a story with different plots, it will tell in each chapter a classic or modern self-conclusive plot about several of the legends and myths of the Terror genre. And movies, many movies highlighting the Predator saga, Which brings us from the masterful and iconic first part to the last and divisive installment of 2018 – taking advantage of the fact that a new Predator is in the works, by the way.
The Last Warrior / The Last Warrior: The Roots of Evil
Unpublished 22: 00h in Movistar Estrenos (dial 30). The two installments of the fantasy adventure saga co-produced between Russia and Disney that became a box office success in Russia. The story of these two films is set in the Kingdom of Belogorie, a medieval world, parallel to ours, inhabited by characters from Russian fairy tales. There a Muscovite con man from our universe is transported. In 2022 the premiere of the third installment is expected.
Baby is ready
Unpublished 00: 10h in Movistar Estrenos (dial 30). An irreverent comedy produced by Taika Waititi in his native New Zealand and in which his taste for incorrect humor and eccentricity is noted, but without losing his affection for the characters. This is the debut in the cinema as the protagonist of Rose Matafeo, one of the most popular comedians and television personalities in the antipodes.

22: 00h at Movistar Premieres (dial 30). Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer winner John Patrick Shanley adapts one of his Broadway hits to the big screen. Starring Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan. ‘An Irish Song’ is set in the idyllic landscapes of rural Ireland, where the stubborn farmer Rosemary Muldoon wants to win the love of her shy neighbor Anthony Reilly, although he remains unmoved by his beautiful admirer.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Lucas Hedges star in this comedy-drama in which the actress plays an eccentric and caustic Manhattan high-society woman who has spent years living off her late husband’s inheritance … to the point of wasting it. Now completely broke, Frances moves to Paris – to an apartment offered by a friend – with her son, the lost twenty-something Malcolm.

Julian Temple (‘The filth and the fury’) portrays the hectic life of this artist and does so with his full collaboration in a documentary produced by Johnny Depp and winner of the Special Jury Prize at the San Sebastian Festival 2020.
USA vs China: Titans colliding

Shine a Light
10:45 p.m. at Movistar Fest (dial 37). Filmmaker Martin Scorsese directs this documentary about the legendary Rolling Stones. The film, filmed at the Beacon Theater in New York, includes two performances by the group from their tour ‘A Bigger Bang’ (2006) and also includes images, interviews with the band members and shows the preparations for these concerts in which Artists like Jack White (The White Stripes), Christina Aguilera who sings a version of ‘In Between the Sheets’ together with Mick Jagger or Buddy Guy who does a solo duel with Keith Richards on the song ‘Champagne and Reefer’ also collaborated.
