Prince Harry is set to debut his latest television project this winter, continuing to navigate his ongoing distance from his royal family.
Netflix has recently provided a sneak peek into Prince Harry’s new docuseries, which focuses on the sport of polo—a pastime he has been passionate about since childhood.
Titled “POLO,” the docuseries will not center solely on Prince Harry. Instead, it will profile “elite global players” and offer a unique, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the dynamic and fast-paced realm of polo, according to Netflix.
The streaming platform has shared various stills from the upcoming project, which is slated for release in December.
This announcement comes just months after Meghan Markle, Harry’s wife, concluded her own Netflix series, which focused on cooking and wellness and drew inspiration from her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
While Harry and Meghan’s professional endeavors appear to be thriving, reportedly backed by a substantial $100 million deal with Netflix, their relationship with the British royal family remains tense.
Harry and Meghan’s distance from the royal family became formalized when they stepped down as senior working royals and relocated to the United States.
Since then, they have engaged in a significant media presence, sharing their experiences through memoirs, interviews, and docuseries. They have openly discussed their grievances regarding their treatment by both the British media and the royal family.
Despite Harry’s return visits to the United Kingdom over the years, these efforts have not significantly mended the rift with his family.
As the docuseries approaches its release, many are contemplating whether time truly heals all wounds.
