The situation in Afghanistan indicates the need to put a stop to the practice of imposing “development paths” on countries from outside, said Russian President Vladimir Putin after meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday in Moscow.

In a joint press conference, the Russian president pointed out that the Taliban control practically all the territory of Afghanistan, including its capital, which he described as “a reality on the basis of which we must act in order not to allow the disintegration of the Afghan state.”

More information, shortly.
