Queen Letizia’s Agenda Begins with International Trip to Croatia
This week, Queen Letizia of Spain embarked on a two-day international trip to attend the Congress on the Prevention of Childhood Obesity in Zagreb. The event, which is being organized by the World Health Organization in collaboration with the First Lady of Croatia, Sanja Music Milanović, will focus on discussing ways to combat childhood obesity.
As a special ambassador for Nutrition from the Food and Agriculture Organization, Queen Letizia attended a welcome dinner to kick off the event. She has been to Croatia once before, and this visit highlights the great connection between the two countries.
Attending the Congress as a special guest and ambassador, Queen Letizia’s attendance at the congress framed in the Summit of the Spouses of European Leaders began half a year ago, during her first visit to Croatia. On that occasion, she held a meeting to discuss the problem of childhood obesity and was invited to this congress by the first lady.
During her visit, Queen Letizia will hold a meeting with the regional director for Europe of the WHO, Hans Henri P. Kluge. Her attendance at the congress marks her first appearance after her stylish outfit choices at the coronation of Kings Carlos III in London.
The fashion icon stunned in a pink two-piece Carolina Herrera ensemble, complete with a peplum jacket, for the coronation ceremony held at Westminster Abbey. Her stylistic choices have been praised by many, including designer Victoria Beckham, who commented on the Queen’s stunning green dress that she wore prior to the event.
Queen Letizia’s visit to Croatia marks an important step in the global fight against childhood obesity and highlights the strong relationship between Spain and Croatia.
