Since 2002, the Marvel character has had live-action film adaptations, led by actors Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland.   2. “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” (2023)

     “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” has positioned itself as one of the great premieres of 2023, thanks to its story and the incredible visual display of the entire footage. The truth is that it has become customary to associate Miles Morales with a highly creative project and this film is no exception. We are waiting for the sequel! What is it about? Miles Morales embarks on an adventure across the multiverse with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People who must face a powerful villain.

  1. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” (2018)

     “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is an impressive co-production of Sony Pictures Animation and Marvel. A project that not only raises the concept of multiverses in an animated film, but also offers a much fresher vision of Spider-Man. Thus, it was the winner of the Oscar for Best Animated Film. What is it about? Teenager Miles Morales becomes the Spider-Man of his universe and must team up with five individuals with spider-powers from other dimensions to stop a threat to all realities.

  2. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021)

     An exciting, moving production that presents us with some highly commented cameos on social networks. Peter Parker’s great adventure and his namesake was one of the great releases of 2021. What is it about? With Spider-Man’s identity now revealed, Peter turns to Doctor Strange for help. Something goes wrong and the multiverse becomes the biggest threat. Now, our protagonist must discover what it really means to be Spider-Man.

  3. “Spider-Man 2” (2002)

     The second film in the Sam Raimi trilogy was crowned as a great sequel by introducing us to the memorable Dr. Octopus, the villain of the franchise played by Alfred Molina. What is it about? Peter Parker is beset by all sorts of problems in his ill-fated personal life as he battles a brilliant scientist named Dr. Otto Octavius.

  4. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017)

     “Spider-Man: Homecoming” was the first movie of Tom Holland’s character. An entertaining story from director Jon Watts, which came after Spider-Man’s cameo in “Captain America: Civil War.” What is it about? Peter Parker combines the life of an ordinary high school student in Queens with his superhero alter ego, Spider-Man, and finds himself on the trail of a new threat that prowls the skies of New York.   5. “Spider-Man: Far from Home” (2019)

     “Spider-Man: Far from Home” takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame”, introducing us to a Peter Parker who must move on without the late Tony Stark. The film features performances by Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and a decent Jake Gyllenhaal in the role of Mysterio. What is it about? After the events of “Avengers: Endgame”, Spider-Man must face new threats in a world that has changed forever.How to see the movie?   6. “The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012)

     “The Amazing Spider-Man” is a film by Marc Webb that explores the origins of the superhero played by Andrew Garfield, who was initially only involved in two character projects. Perhaps the film should be a bit shorter and give Rhys Ifans’ villain better CGI. What is it about? After Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically altered spider, he gains spider-like powers and ventures out to save the city from the machinations of a mysterious reptilian enemy, the Lizard.   7. “The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro” (2014)

     “The Amazing Spider-Man 2: The Threat of Electro” has in its favor the great chemistry that Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone transmit as protagonists. However, the multiple villains made the plot entangle, which led to a drastic decision on the part of the executives: to think about the second reboot of the franchise. What is it about? When New York is besieged by Oscorp, it’s up to Spider-Man to save the city he’s sworn to protect, as well as his loved ones. How to watch the movie?   8. “Spider-Man 3” (2007)

    The closing of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy lasted 140 minutes. And, although he left us with Peter Parker’s memorable dance scene, Thomas Haden Church’s disappointing Sandman and some aspects of the script, they make it not a round conclusion to the story.

    What is it about? A strange symbiote from another world bonds with Peter Parker, causing him inner turmoil as he faces new villains, temptations, and revenge.

The Best “Spider-Man” Film for Tom Holland

Although many of us grew up watching Tobey Maguire incarnating the wall-crawler, for Tom there is no debate about the best film made about the life of “Spider-Man”. Of course, he did not stay with the version made by Andrew Garfield or the ones that he starred in recent years.
