FLINS, France, Nov 30 (Reuters) – Renault said on Tuesday that its recycling business, which has yet to be launched, could generate an additional 1 billion euros ($ 1.13 billion) in revenue by the end of the decade.

“These activities will generate 200 million (euros) of turnover from 2025,” Renault CEO Luca de Meo told reporters at a former car production plant in the city of Flins, near Paris, that is reusing for recycling and reconditioning of used vehicles and components.

The reinvention of the place, where the electric models Zoe and Nissan Micra will continue to be assembled for a few years, was one of the central elements of Renault’s restructuring plan in 2020, with which the French automaker aims to increase profitability.
