Rent-a-Girlfriend is a romantic comedy. It follows the life of Kinoshita Kazuya. The latter is a 20-year-old student struggling to find his way. But that’s not the only thing Kazuya isn’t able to do. Even his private life is a real construction site, so much so that he was dumped by his girlfriend. Ashamed and confused by such a situation, Kazuya will think of committing the unthinkable: hiring the services of a young woman to pretend to be his girlfriend.
If at first, Kazuya thought to take advantage of this situation to be seen, he will end up disillusioned. First of all, Chizuru Mizuhara, the girlfriend he rented, is not as candid as she seems. But the most serious thing is that he finds that she does not live far from him. At the same time, other girlfriends for rent are entering the dance. Kazuya’s mundane life will take another turn. The first season of Rent-a-Girlfriend introduced us to four young women in Kazuya’s environment. But of the four, only 3 of them had had developments in their personalities and pasts. Only Sumi Sakurasawa was not entitled to this. However, she was present in season 1. She was even in the opening and ending of the series. In season 2, the anime will rectify the situation by focusing on her. She will go from secondary character to the principal, and this from the first episodes. Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2 Release Date
Season 2 of Rent-a-Girlfriend is scheduled for the summer. More precisely for the month of July 2022. Like the first, it will be produced by TMS Entertainment under the direction of Kazuomi Koga. The latter will be accompanied by Mitsutaka Hirota in the script, Kanna Hirayama as cartoonist and HYADAIN for the music.
As for the cast, it is composed of Sora Amamiya as Chizuru Mizuhara, Aoi Yuki as Mami Nanami, Nao Toyama as Ruka Sarashina, Rie Takahashi as Sumi Sakurasawa, and finally Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita.
