Sam Heughan disappointed Outlander fans with bad news

Sam Heughan, 41, became one of the celebrities most loved by the general public for his role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander. Although he had already participated in other productions, his place in the series as the protagonist has propelled him to obtain a unique fame and more than 3 million followers on Instagram. It was on the social network that the actor gave bad news and his fans did not take it well at all.

We are currently waiting for news of the sixth season of the adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s novels, after a year of complications due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Their filming culminated in early June, where they confirmed that the next episodes will be ready by early 2022. It was also said that it would be the shortest installment, with eight chapters, although with a premiere of an hour and a half.

In the meantime, Heughan has shown that he likes to be part of various projects that have nothing to do with acting, such as hosting his own show Men in Kilts, which he carries out with Graham McTavish and from there came two books of his journey through Scotland. On the other hand, is a whiskey lover, so he launched his own line called The Sassenach ‘Spirit of Home Edition’.

The brand had planned to release the latest update of the drink internationally, but Sam was the bearer of the bad news by announcing that for now that will not happen because of the Coronavirus pandemic. “As you may already know, there is extreme congestion at seaports around the world and a global shortage of containers and trucks.”, were the words chosen to explain the situation.

Undoubtedly it is about a product that every fan of Outlander longs to have in your home, not just because it is from Sam Heughan, but also because name Sassenach comes from the caring way his character, Jamie, addresses his wife, Claire Fraser. “Please bear with us as we work on an update with a new release date soon!”, assured the actor in the publication in which sad comments can be read before the bad news.
