Each generation was marked by some series of Disney. At some point in their lives, everyone had that program that was broadcast on television and that was part of a ritual, long before the streaming platforms They will settle in the everyday. Created by Joe Ansolabehere and Paul Germain, this animated series was produced by Disney under its original name Recess. For its part, in Latin America adopted the name Playtime, Meanwhile in Spain it was called The backyard band. TJ, Spinelli, Vince, Gretchen, Mikey y Gus they were the protagonists of each afternoon for six seasons. In total, they were released 87 episodes that lasted until 2001.
In 2001, the movie Recreation Arrived (Disney) was released.
But the adventure continued and its success was such that the Mickey Mouse producer opted to continue releasing content related to the series. In that sense, the film Recess arrived, where the kids uncover a plot to end the holidays: a mad ex-director plans to use a laser beam to alter the weather and create an eternal winter. But faced with the threat, the loyal and fun group of friends come together to save their summer.
And success did not stop: in 2003 it premiered Recess: A New Year of Adventures and Recess: Down with the greats, two one-hour specials that won over the loyal fans of the television program. Today, 24 years after that first broadcast, it is likely that you feel nostalgic for those times when Recreo’s jokes flooded the home with laughter.
