Star Wars Characters Who Died Off-Screen: Surprising Deaths

Star Wars Characters Who Died Off-Screen: Surprising Deaths

More casual “Star Wars” fans might not immediately recognize the name Tera Sinube. By the time of the Clone Wars, he was already older — a respected member of the Jedi Order, though certainly not someone you’d find on the front lines. Sinube makes several appearances in the “Clone Wars” animated series, often providing sage advice to the young and headstrong Ahsoka Tano. Despite his advanced years, he’s far from weak. The man can still hold his own, brandishing a rare blue lightsaber so light in color that it almost appears white.

Sadly, neither his skills nor his unique weapon are enough to save Sinube when the Empire comes to power. Although the exact circumstances of his death remain unknown, we do see his corpse in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series. When Obi-Wan infiltrates Fortress Inquisitorius, he finds a hall filled with entombed Jedi, all long dead and displayed like trophies. Among them is the live-action version of Sinube’s body, lying alongside several of his fallen comrades.

It’s a chilling scene. Considering Sinube rarely left the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, it makes sense that he could have been one of the first Jedi to fall during Order 66.
