The cancellation of Star Wars 1313 shattered all illusions of seeing a video game starring a bounty hunter again. The premiere of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, the first live-action series based on the galactic saga, has restored hope, especially when what looked like a possible new video game leaked online inspired by the history of Mando. However, the reality is that it is a video created by a fan, which has been validated by Unreal Engine 4 as a cover letter for possible job opportunities.

Jack Chapman, from Sumo Digital, was the first to clarify that this is not a real game: “Not a real video game. Someone has done a Mandalorian project in UE4 using the Advanced Locomotion System. I know the sounds of the steps and the animations of the body too well ”. Subsequently, it was the creator himself, Christopher Turner, who has given explanations.

Star Wars, in various hands

The creation of Lucasfilm Games has been accompanied by the announcement that Electronic Arts no longer has the exclusive license. From now on, EA will share the galaxy far, far away with other publishers, including Ubisoft. The French company is working on an open-world video game, of which further details are not yet known. On the other hand, the Americans are outlining new installments of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the action-adventure game from Respawmn Entertainment.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian has no game of its own announced. Although we cannot handle Din Djarin in a video game, we will have the opportunity to see him again in action in the third season of the series, which will begin filming this coming September. At the moment there is no release date, since 2021 is reserved for The Book of Boba Fett, his first spin-off.
