With the cold, the leaves fall, the coats arrive and the Steam sales begin. Fall games will continue until December 1, so you can still get hold of great games at a reduced price. On dates of so much traffic, the figures also increase, but this time they have done so to numbers never reached by Valve. This has been notified by Steam DB, which confirms that the store of the creators of Half Life has gathered to 27 million concurrent users.

According to the figures from this source, this is a historical record for Steam, since its previous milestone was achieved in April 2021, with 16.9 million concurrent users. This situation occurs at a time when Steam is no longer the only great platform, since not only large companies such as EA or Ubisoft have their own launchers, but the Epic Games Store has entered the market aggressively, with free games and more beneficial conditions for developers.

Cyberpunk 2077, a turn of the tables

The good news for Steam has also rippled through Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED’s latest work. The game, heavily punished for its launch problems, was greeted in late 2020 with profanity and highly critical reviews. Nevertheless, after a year of updates and improvements, the bugs have been polished and the project is much more consistent than when it was released. Thanks to its 50% discount on Steam, many users are evaluating the product positively.

From CD Projekt RED they celebrate the Change of trend and they hope the game will be well regarded in the future. In addition to the PC version, the title is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Google Stadia. There will be no new patches until next year, while the next-gen updates have also been delayed until the first half of 2022.
