The anticipated release date and trailer for Wes Anderson’s latest film: Asteroid City

Wes Anderson fans, get ready for his latest film “Asteroid City” hitting theaters in 2023. This film stars an all-star cast including Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hanks, and has a script written by the filmmaker himself and Roman Coppola, his usual collaborator. Additionally, Alexandre Desplat, an award-winning composer, is slated to be responsible for the project’s soundtrack and Robert D. Yeoman as the cinematographer.

The film takes place in a fictitious city in the American desert around 1955. A school contest dedicated to the observation of astronomical phenomena is held there and will be affected by some spectacular events. Rest, recreation, comedy, drama, and romance will be a part of this story, which was filmed in Chinchón and Colmenar de Oreja, two municipalities in the Community of Madrid famous for being the setting for some westerns in the past.

The film is set to premiere during the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which will take place in May 2023. The movie will be distributed by Focus Features in some theaters in the United States from June 16, 2023. The rest of the US theaters will be showing the film from June 23, 2023. As of yet, there is no official announcement of the release dates in Latin America or Spain.

The cast of “Asteroid City” is made up of some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, and many more.
