The streaming service Netflix smile in the night of the Emmy Awards 2021, since The Crown has established itself as the most successful series of the 73rd edition of the ceremony. She arrived as the most nominated, along with The Mandalorian, and they have taken the largest number of statuettes, as the most desired by all: Best Dramatic Series.

The awards show got off to a great start for the show, as the creator Peter Morgan took his award for Best Drama Screenplay for the episode “War”, which was a fan favorite and left the doors open for season five. Next came the award for Best Direction in Drama also for the same chapter.



The successful day continued with Gillian Anderson taking her award for Best Supporting Actress in Drama by playing Margaret Thatcher, one of the most vibrant characters in the fourth installment. In the same category, but on the male side, Tobias Menzies was awarded for his role as Prince Philip, who passed away a few months ago.

The main performances were also for the Netflix show, with two great accolades that went to the platform. Olivia Colman won for Best Actress in Drama after incarnating for the last time Queen Elizabeth II and Josh O’Connor won the applause of the stars present when he won the award for Best Actor in Drama.
