The price of electricity will fall this Monday more than 54%, to 36.8 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), which is one of the lowest rates so far this year, according to the results of the auction held in the wholesale market.
The Iberian mechanism has not been activated in March because the price of natural gas has fallen in the Iberian Gas Market (Mibgas) below the limit of 55 by the Government for this month.
The light will mark tomorrow one of the lowest prices so far this year and the second cheapest this March, in which the average price is 104.4.
By time slots, electricity will reach its highest price between 9.00 and 10.00, with 95.1, and the lowest between 16.00 and 17.00, when it will be 18.
One more day the average price of electricity in the Spanish wholesale market will be lower than that of the surrounding countries, since in France the electricity will be paid at 44 ; in Germany, 37.1; in the United Kingdom, to 97.9 (about 110.5 euros) and in Italy, to 145.4 .
