The euro is trading below the dollar again

The euro falls again this Thursday and returns to trading below the dollar, a milestone that it already reached the day before for the first time in twenty years, although it later recovered.

According to market data consulted by Efe, at 4:00 p.m., the euro fell and reached 0.996 dollars, and this, in a session in which the European Commission worsened the economic forecasts for the euro zone and raised inflation estimates to record levels.

In the previous session, the euro had already traded below the dollar, but later it recovered and closed the session at 1,006 dollars.

The euro falls again today in a context of fear of an economic recession in the face of successive increases in interest rates that central banks are carrying out to deal with the rise in inflation, and which are expected to be even higher in the coming months in the face of record prices.
