iOS 17: What’s New and Who Gets it?
Finally, after several beta versions of iOS 16, iOS 17 is here for iPhone users. However, not all smartphones that have this update will be able to access the expected news, as it will be limited to specific models and countries.
According to the Ipadizate website, there are seven features in total that will be exclusive and not available to all iPhones. This leaves us wondering whether more models will be introduced in the next versions of iOS 17.
Here are the exclusive iOS 17 features and the models that support them:
Live Voicemail
This new feature transcribes the message spoken in real-time and is only available in the United States and Canada.
Siri
Siri’s users can now call on the voice assistant just by saying its name, eliminating the need to say “Hey, Siri.” However, this is English-only.
FaceTime
This feature allows users to add several 3D augmented reality effects when making calls within the app. Currently, it is available only on iPhone 12 and later models.
Autocorrect
Autocorrect is now more accurate and will temporarily underline words that were changed. This feature is only available on iPhone 12 and later.
Prediction
This feature is handy for writing quicker and only available for iPhone 12 and later.
Interaction
This feature allows users with visual impairments to interact with physical objects that carry text labels. It is available on iPhone 12 and later models.
Standby
When you charge your iPhone, the standby mode allows you to view various elements like the calendar, photos, and so on. However, this feature is only available on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
