“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” was going to introduce the White Wolf in the final chapter

“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” began with the introduction of a new Captain America: John Walker. As expected, the shield did not take long, since when he was injected with a superman serum, he became unstable and killed a member of the terrorist organization Flag Smashers.

This same character was eventually transformed into US Agent, who would return in the movie “Captain America 4”. On the other hand, Sharon Carter revealed her true identity: Power Breaker.

Finally, Sam Wilson reconciled with his family and accepted that he must bear the responsibility of Captain America’s shield. In chapter 6 he is seen in his suit with the colors of the United States flag.

At the end of this episode, a message is shared to the fans “Captain America and the Winter Soldier”. The funny thing is that Malcolm Spellman explained in an interview with that Bucky was no longer the Winter Soldier.

Now it has been revealed that he initially considered placing the following title at the end of the chapter: “Captain America and the White Wolf.” Spellman was the one who revealed this decision which was later discarded.

“I could see that nickname [White Wolf] Seeing one of the cuts, and man, did it really affect me emotionally. I think they wanted the impact of Captain America and the Winter Soldier to land. And I think if they had done Captain America and the White Wolf, it might not have been such an emotional landing because it’s too much math and too much evolution. But I don’t know for sure what it was. I was surprised by that while looking at the cut, but I loved it, ”he details.

Director of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” spoke about Bucky Barnes bisexuality

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier director Kari Skogland addresses fan theories that suggest the series revealed that Bucky Barnes is bisexual. We tell you what this theory is about, which coincides with the intentions of making Marvel more inclusive with the LGTBQ + community.

The Marvel series for the Disney Plus platform delved deeper than ever into the stories of Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) in the MCU. As for Bucky, some fans thought they received confirmation of his bisexuality in the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The scene in question corresponds to that of the Winter Soldier talking about his foray into online tapes and refers to “tiger photos”, a trend that is often seen on men’s profiles. The fact that Bucky saw them seemed to indicate that he was actively looking for guys to date.

MARVEL | The director spoke

Director Skogland has now officially commented on the matter with Variety, and it is clear that the scene from the first episode was not intended to be a revelation on how Bucky identifies himself.

“I think we think of him as a rarity of the times, because he’s so confused. Because don’t forget, he is 106 years old. So he’s confused by the whole thing, ”Skogland said.

“What we were really trying to show was his total lack of technical skills, as well as being part of any kind of community. Does not fit. So I think that was more our intention there than trying to target a particular affinity, “he added.

Bucky is just one of many Marvel characters whose sexuality has been theorized by fans, and he surely won’t be the last. For many, the clarification is sure to be disappointing, as they continue to hope for genuine and positive LGBTQ representation.
