Next February 9 will be two years of the femicide from Ingrid Escamilla, a 25-year-old woman who was murdered by her partner, in front of his son, in the north of Mexico City. The case generated a wave of outrage and social upheaval, not only because of the savagery of the crime, but also because murder images they leaked and went viral on the media and social networks.

On Sunday, February 9, 2020, the Secretariat of Security of Mexico City He received an anonymous call that denounced the murder of a woman on Calle Tamagno in the Gustavo A. Madero mayor’s office. Upon arriving at the scene, the authorities they found Ingrid’s remains.
For the femicide of the young woman he was arrested Erick Francisco Robledo, 46 years old. When the police arrived, the killer was still next to Escamilla’s body. The woman had multiple stab lacerations and the man he had blood stains all over his body.
Robledo’s ex-partner, and the mother of their son, who was 14 years old at the time, was the one who notified the authorities, since the man contacted her after committing the crime.

In 2019, Ingrid had filed a complaint for gender violence against her partner, although finally the woman did not continue with the legal process and the case was archived, according to local media.

Outrage over the leaks of Ingrid Escamilla’s photos
The crime scene images leaked and they were published on social networks and some media, as well as a video in which the alleged femicide talks about how the murder happened.
