The Hang Seng falls 0.10% on a good day for big tech

Beijing, Aug 6 (EFE) .- The benchmark index of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the Hang Seng, fell 0.10% today, on a positive day for large technology companies.

The selective lost 25.29 points to 26,179 while the index that measures the behavior of mainland Chinese companies listed on the Hong Kong stock, the Hang Seng China Enterprises, fell 0.25%.

All the sub-indices closed negative: Finance (-0.08%), Commerce and Industry (-0.01%), Services (-0.44%) and Real Estate (-0.60%).

The digital conglomerate Tencent was the one that experienced the greatest revaluation (3.33%), recovering from a practically equivalent fall that it suffered yesterday.

Other large technology companies such as Meituan (1.23%), Alibaba (0.52%) and Xiaomi (0.19%) also closed in green numbers.

At the other end of the table, pharmaceutical solutions firm Wuxi Bio (-4.85%) and lens maker Sunny Optical (-4.73%) saw the biggest drops.

The Chinese state oil companies had mixed fortunes: CNOOC had a rise of 3.06%, Petrochina stayed as the day began and Sinopec fell 0.56%.

The business volume of the session was 148,040 million Hong Kong dollars (19,037 million dollars, 16,119 million euros).
