The Hawkeye series will not forget the dark past of its protagonist and will have weight in the story

Remember in Avengers: Endgame when Hawkeye was Ronin and killed a lot of people? It seems that the writers of the next Disney + series do it too and that will have its weight in the story.

In an interview with GamesradarThe scriptwriting duo Bert & Bertie (Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood) said the Christmas-themed six-episode series is not what most people would expect from Marvel Studios. The series draws heavily on the 2012 Hawkeye comic and the Christmas issue by Matt Fraction and artist David Aja. Even so, it looks like the series will have some dark undertones.

When Clint Barton assumed the identity of Ronin, he set about sowing evil after his entire family was wiped out by Thanos. Jeremy Renner, who plays the eponymous hero, didn’t want to put that part of the character aside. The vigilante is now part of Hawkeye and in the next series it seems that his murderous past will haunt him.

[Renner] I wanted the dark“, says Bert.”I wanted to go there. And there are times when Ronin resurfaces. It is very important to have those depths that you can explore, so that he can get out of them.

The first two episodes of Hawkeye will air on Disney Plus on November 24. The most recent adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Eternals, opened in theaters this past weekend. The year 2021 will close with Spider-Man: No Road Home on December 17, and we have seen his latest poster recently, with the presence of several villains from other dimensions …
