The recent assassination of Danilo Torres in Colombia has become the number 83 perpetrated against a social leader of that country so far this year, according to the registry of victims recorded by the Institute of Studies for Development and Peace (Indepaz).
Torres, who He was the legal representative of the Manos Unidas Community Council of the Patía River, located in the municipality of Magüí Payán, in the department of Nariño, appears in the website of Indepaz as the 83rd victim on the list of social leaders and human rights defenders murdered in Colombia in 2021.
