The Pokémon Company will celebrate this Wednesday, August 18 at 3:00 p.m. (CEST) a new edition of Pokémon Presents to offer us new information about Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Pokémon Shiny Pearl for Nintendo Switch, the two great events of the saga for this year, the year in which the brand’s 25th anniversary is celebrated. It won’t be just any Pokémon Presents, however, since it is the longest to date.
Pokémon Presents, what news awaits us? 28 minutes long
The expectation behind this event is enormous for different reasons. The first, because it will be the first time since last February that we will see in action both Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the new playable ARPG approach to the Game Freak saga, as well as the much-demanded remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl from ILCA and Junichi Masuda in the direction.
His 28 minutes duration they can translate into extensive coverage of both video games; with special emphasis not only on plot, plot and new playable sequences, but also to delve into the novelties, mainly mechanical, of both proposals. Joe Merrick, webmaster of the most important portal specialized in Pokémon in the world, Serebii, has shared on Twitter an interesting table where all Pokémon Direct (previous nomenclature, used from 2013 to 2020) and Pokémon Presents are compared, the name that has been used since June 2020.
The trend was for events of between 10 and 20 minutes; some even as little as 7 or 8 minutes. This time it will be different, with almost half an hour of coverage; a third more than last February.
Pokémon Shiny Diamond / Shimmering Pearl Dates and Pokémon Legends Arceus
Pokémon Legends Arceus will take us to a region of Sinnoh set many, many years before the events narrated in the original video games. We will learn how the first Pokédex was created and the mysteries involved in one of the regions with the most lore of the entire series, Sinnoh, since that is where the god of Pokémon, Arceus, originated. We will have action mechanics, open world, turn-based combat and greater interaction with the stage. On sale January 28, 2022.
Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Shimmering Pearl They have the task of reconciling with the fans who were dissatisfied with the technical section seen in their ad. In the absence of knowing their news, we know that they will come out on November 19, 2021.
