The resolution of the Xbox Series X panel is increased with the new update

Microsoft has started testing higher resolutions for the Xbox Series X. If you’re an Xbox Insider with Alpha Skip-Ahead, you’ll be able to see the updated resolution for yourself.

According to the article detailed in the Xbox Insider notes, “With the new system update, the panel of Series X connected to a 4K monitor or television can be seen in higher resolution. This change makes the user interface more readable.”

Raising the resolution of the Series X’s panel is a nice update for the 9th generation console. Since November, elements of the panel’s interface were running at 1080p. But again, it’s worth keeping in mind that not every part of the Series X’s panel will work in 4K.

The higher resolution panel isn’t the only update Xbox is testing. Last week, the company tested multiple new features under the Xbox Insiders program for both PC and consoles. Among them, Insiders’ PCs Xbox Cloud GamingIt also included the ability to open the . A night mode was also featured for the Xbox Series X|S.
